The spokesperson for the judiciary announced a sentence of 10 executions and 10 years in prison for Kolsoom Akbari.
Asghar Jahangir, the spokesperson for the judiciary, stated regarding Kolsoom Akbari’s case that it was reviewed in the second branch of the criminal court of Mazandaran province. The accused is charged with several counts of premeditated murder and attempted murder. According to him, the legal procedures have been completed, and the court’s verdict was issued on September 17.
Jahangir explained that for the premeditated murders, ten separate death sentences have been issued for the heirs.
Regarding the murder of the late Mohammad Ali Hadadi, all heirs requested compensation, and other heirs will receive compensation if they wish and agree, thus waiving the execution.
He added that Kolsoom Akbari has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for the attempted murder of Mr. Masih Nemati, with her previous detention period included in this duration. Furthermore, for one of the heirs of the late Mirahmad Omrani, Mr. Seyed Hossein Omrani, a decision to halt the prosecution has been issued considering the pardon granted.
