The judiciary of Kerman Province is pursuing former officials of a football club due to corruption.
The head of the judiciary of Kerman Province announced the formation of a case regarding allegations of financial corruption in one of the football clubs in Kerman Province.
On the evening of May 14, Ebrahim Hamidi elaborated on the details of this news, stating that after receiving a report from the provincial IRGC Intelligence Organization regarding financial corruption in one of the Premier League clubs in Kerman Province, the judiciary immediately prioritized investigating the matter.
The head of the judiciary of Kerman Province added that in this regard, several former officials of this club have been legally pursued, and further investigations are ongoing.
He announced that the violations occurred in 2021 and before, and a case was formed in the judiciary of Kerman Province last winter concerning this matter.
He concluded by saying that in relation to this, on Saturday, May 12 of this year, five individuals from the referees’ committee and members of the Football Federation League Organization, along with a sports journalist, have been summoned and invited to provide explanations to the provincial judiciary.
