Kanaani’s Reaction to Baerbock’s Tweet About Serial Poisonings

Nasser Kanaani, the spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, responded to the German Foreign Minister’s reaction regarding the serial poisoning of schoolgirls in Iran by tweeting that among the bitter truths that still need clarification are the chemical poisonings through German toxic gases during Saddam’s imposed war, for which the German government is responsible.

Kanaani described the German Foreign Minister’s remarks as hypocritical and added that the minister’s destructive and anti-security action is under investigation. The Iranian government is very serious about identifying the criminals and eradicating this malevolence. We will not allow insecurity for Iranian schoolgirls with political motives.

Annalena Baerbock, the German Foreign Minister, called the reports about the poisoning of schoolgirls in Iran shocking and wrote in a tweet that Iranian girls, whether in Tehran or Ardabil, should go to school without fear.
