Kazem Jalali, Iran’s ambassador to Russia, has mentioned the possibility of canceling travel between the two countries.
Mr. Jalali said it is possible that travel between Iran and Russia will be canceled in 2023, and added that Iran has taken steps in this regard.
He stated that Iran is waiting for Russia’s response and said that if Moscow had declared its readiness like us, we could have announced the suspension of travel without a visa regime in a short period of time.
In recent years, relations between Iran and Russia have become closer, and some Western countries have expressed concerns about the military cooperation between the two countries.
The sending of Iranian drones to Russia, which were used in the Ukraine war, has made headlines. The Iranian Foreign Ministry has confirmed that some drones have been sold to Russia, but stated that they have not been sent to this country to assist in the Ukraine war.
