Khabar Online: Ali Larijani was disqualified for not being competent and capable.

Khabar Online wrote that Ali Larijani was disqualified again. In other words, according to the official reading of the Guardian Council, Ali Larijani’s qualification was not confirmed for the second consecutive presidential election.

According to reports, a day or two before his disqualification, Larijani mentioned in a meeting that the issue the Guardian Council was examining was his competence and capability. In other words, the Guardian Council had doubts about Larijani being competent and capable, and now he has been disqualified. It is not clear if this was the reason for his disqualification.

On the other hand, it was said that the supervisory bodies of the Revolutionary Guard and security agencies have dismissed the reasons that led to Larijani’s disqualification in 2021. This point was also mentioned in his statement to the public yesterday.

In fact, if Ali Larijani were to be described in a few sentences over the past 45 years, it should be said that since his time as the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council during Ahmadinejad’s era, he began a gradual departure from the 1990s approach, eventually becoming the Larijani of today. Although he has never been and will not be among the reformists, he certainly falls into the category of technocratic moderates. He has gently moved from the far right to a center-left position, transitioning from the Larijani once favored by right-wingers to the Larijani now disfavored by extremists and so-called revolutionaries.
