Khorasan newspaper: The goal of the US fleet’s presence in the region is to cut off Iran’s oil exports
Khorasan newspaper, in an analysis published in its issue today, wrote that the goal of the US military fleet’s presence in the region is a gradual move towards a naval blockade of Iran and cutting off the country’s oil exports.
According to the newspaper, two scenarios are likely in this context. The first scenario is a limited and symbolic military action by the US or its allies, after which a naval blockade would be used as a tool to complete and solidify the effects of this action. This action could be designed to send a deterrent message without entering into a widespread war.
The second scenario is described as the gradual initiation of a naval blockade of Iran. According to Khorasan, Iran’s potential reaction to this, whether at sea or in the regional context, could lead to increased tensions and ultimately military conflict.
The newspaper further emphasized that the ultimate goal of this approach might be controlled destabilization and forcing Tehran to accept negotiations from a position of weakness, not necessarily entering into an expensive and unpredictable war.
