In images released by North Korea’s official media, Kim Jong Un and his daughter are seen walking together during the unveiling ceremony of the new destroyer Cho Hyun at the Nampho shipyard, inspecting the warship.

On Friday, April 25th, North Korea unveiled the 5,000-ton destroyer Cho Hyun in the presence of the country’s leader and his daughter.

Official media have described this destroyer as one of the most advanced warships in the country.

According to these sources, the construction of the Cho Hyun destroyer took more than a year and this vessel has been equipped with the most powerful armaments.

In his speech at the ceremony, Kim Jong Un emphasized that the North Korean navy has become one of the main pillars of national defense and that the development of this force will continue rapidly.

According to plans, the Cho Hyun destroyer will officially enter operational service early next year.
