Kremlin: Attack on Dagestan airport was the result of foreign interference

On Monday, the Kremlin responded to an attack on an airport in Dagestan, where assailants were apparently searching for passengers on a flight from Israel, by stating that the incident was the result of foreign interference.

Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, did not mention any specific foreign country or group allegedly involved in the attack. However, Sergey Melikov, the leader of the autonomous Republic of Dagestan, claimed that the tensions on Sunday night at Makhachkala airport were organized from Ukrainian soil.

According to Dmitry Peskov, Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to hold a meeting on Monday regarding Western efforts to create division in the country, focusing on events in the Middle East.
