Recent security report on Iran’s nuclear program
A new report by the director of the U.S. National Intelligence Agency to Congress on Iran’s nuclear activities has made headlines, and The Wall Street Journal has reported on the content of this report. It is natural that soon new dimensions of America’s security assessments in this regard will be made public.
According to assessments by U.S. security agencies, the Iranian leader has not issued an order to advance the military nuclear program, and Iran is clearly not pursuing nuclear weapons.
However, these assessments indicate that Iran is on a specific path that could lead to the production of nuclear weapons. Avril Haines, the director of the U.S. National Intelligence Agency, testified before Congress in May about the ongoing threats facing America and explained the threats from Iran. In July, she disclosed various dimensions of Iran’s infiltration plans in target countries through special statements, revealing various aspects of cyber and online infiltration plans and its operatives’ presence in other countries. This statement marked the beginning of a public phase of tracking and identifying elements related to the Iranian regime.
