Lavrov suggests Iran and Arab countries sign a non-aggression pact

Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, proposed that Iran and the Arab countries in the region sign a non-aggression pact to normalize relations and reduce tensions.

In an interview with RT Arabic, Lavrov said such an agreement could be an important first step in building trust and improving relations between Iran and the Arab countries.

He added that alongside this pact, other complementary measures could also be considered, including agreements on transparency of military activities, limiting certain military actions, and creating trust-building mechanisms among the countries in the region.

The Russian Foreign Minister emphasized that these measures could help reduce tensions and strengthen stability and security in the Persian Gulf region.
