The lawyer of the doctor sentenced to execution says he was helping the injured.
Seyed Mahmoud Alizadeh Tabatabaei, based on the statements of the family and friends of Dr. Hamid Gharehhasanlou, said that on that day, wherever he saw someone injured, regardless of their affiliation, he fulfilled his medical duty and helped them.
Dr. Gharehhasanlou saw an injured cleric that day and took him to the hospital. On his way back home, he entered the same alley where the incident occurred. The doctor had no role in the martyrdom of the Basiji at that scene.
