Negotiations with the United States were continuously conducted indirectly by the Legal Deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Raisi administration.

Reza Najafi, the deputy for legal and international affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that indirect negotiations with the United States began in Oman during the Raisi government and have been ongoing until today.

Najafi added that the other party is not willing to seriously participate in the negotiations due to internal issues and election discussions.
