Macron to Putin: Stop Lying

French President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday that Russian President Vladimir Putin should stop lying about wanting peace in Ukraine while he continues attacks against it.

During a visit to Madagascar, Macron told reporters that the only thing that needs to be done is for Putin to finally stop lying.

He added that Putin tells American negotiators he wants peace, yet continues to bomb Ukraine.

Macron emphasized that in Ukraine, they only want one answer: Will Putin agree to an unconditional ceasefire or not?

Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump also urged Putin to stop attacks on Ukraine and called for finalizing a peace agreement through a message on the social network Truth.

On Thursday night, Russia targeted Kyiv with heavy missile attacks, resulting in at least eight deaths.
