Madani Zadeh in Moscow: Iran and Russia’s economic agreements on the verge of finalization
Seyed Ali Madani Zadeh, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, announced at the beginning of his visit to Moscow that as the representative of the President, he aims to finalize the memorandums of understanding and agreements that were previously agreed and coordinated between Iran and Russia. According to the Minister of Economy, the negotiations between the two parties cover areas including trade and investment, financial relations, transportation, energy, and infrastructure. The development of the North-South International Corridor is also one of Tehran’s focal points. This route, Iran hopes, will expand Russia’s trade connections with northern regional countries to southern markets, especially India. Madani Zadeh stated that with the signing of the contracts under review and the development of financial relations between Tehran and Moscow, there will be significant openings that could be reflected in the country’s exports, imports, and production. During this trip, he will meet with the Russian Finance Minister and attend a meeting of traders and businessmen from both countries. After Moscow, the Minister of Economy will head to India to participate in the BRICS summit and discuss topics including banking and financial cooperation, financing, trade development, and investment with officials from member countries.
