Majidreza Rahnavard was executed

In the early hours of Monday, December 12, Majidreza Rahnavard, one of the detainees from recent incidents in Mashhad, was executed.

Majidreza Rahnavard was hanged in public in Mashhad, an action that took place only 23 days after his arrest.

The judiciary of the Islamic Republic accused Majidreza Rahnavard of attacking with a cold weapon on Har Ameli Street in Mashhad against Basij forces, including Hossein Zeinalzadeh and Danial Rezazadeh, two Basij members who were killed during the recent protests.

Majidreza Rahnavard was arrested on November 19, two days after the killing of these two Basij members, and five days later, the prosecutor of Mashhad announced the issuance of an indictment against him and stated that he was charged with ‘moharebeh’ (waging war against God).
