Major Discovery by Genoa’s Anti-Mafia Police

The Italian police and the anti-mafia department of the Genoa region have conducted an operation in which nine people were arrested on charges of collecting around 7 million euros for Hamas over more than two years.

This money was apparently collected as humanitarian aid for Palestinian civilians but was actually transferred to the armed group through a complex fundraising system. The suspects are accused of carrying out financial activities believed to have aided terrorist operations, the Italian police announced in a statement.
