Marco Rubio and Tom Barrack will continue to play an important role in the Syria and Iraq files.
Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, announced the end of Tom Barrack’s mission as the U.S. Special Representative for Syria, but emphasized that he will continue to play an effective role in the Syria and Iraq files.
Rubio wrote in a message that Ambassador Barrack has played a very valuable role as the U.S. Special Representative for Syria.
He added that although this position is now ending, he will continue to have an important role in the Trump administration concerning Syria and Iraq, where his expertise, relationships, and understanding of the ‘America First’ policy will continue to help achieve accomplishments for our country.
