Masih Alinejad: The prince was the first to withdraw from the coalition

Masih Alinejad, a political activist and women’s rights advocate, stated in an interview with the French magazine Le Point that Prince Reza Pahlavi was the first person to leave the coalition for freedom and democracy.

Ms. Alinejad mentioned that Mr. Pahlavi had requested the addition of three new members to this coalition, but while other members were in discussions to accept these individuals, he withdrew from the coalition, arguing that his conditions had not been met.

Previously, Hamed Esmaeilion, another member of this coalition, had also released a statement discussing external pressure on the group’s members and, in an interview, publicly disclosed his disagreements with Reza Pahlavi’s views.
