Intensification of the Maximum Crisis of Corona in China
While public and labor protests in Zhengzhou, an important industrial region of China that hosts a major Apple manufacturing plant, turned violent and security forces clashed with exhausted, penniless, and desperate workers in COVID quarantine, Chinese authorities have not only not backed down from their policies but have quarantined this region and all surrounding areas with a population of over six million.
This widespread lockdown has been implemented while the nationwide policy known as ‘zero-COVID’ in China has not only failed to reduce the spread but new records of Chinese people contracting the coronavirus have now been recorded.
