Mehdi Karroubi’s message: Vote for Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian
Hossein Karroubi, son of Mehdi Karroubi, said that despite the 14 years of injustice his father has endured, he has not lost hope in reforming the country. Since 2005, he warned about the erosion of the republic system and has paid the price for it until now.
Hossein Karroubi continued by saying that his message is to vote for Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian to achieve three fundamental goals necessary for saving the country.
1. Overcoming the sanctions that have broken the back of the Iranian nation and destroyed Iran’s development. It seems that with the help of prominent diplomats like Dr. Zarif as an advisor to Dr. Pezeshkian’s potential government, this can be achieved during this period.
2. Ensuring the rights of the people, both men and women, and preserving the privacy of citizens in their lifestyle, hijab, ethics, freedoms, and choices. In short, a normal life that has been restricted by government interference, forcing young people to emigrate. The future government can restore hope for reform in society by eliminating morality police and similar forces and presenting bills for free elections.
3. Fighting corruption. A political-economic mafia wants to turn the Islamic Republic into a military government that blends financial and political interests by taking over the presidency.
To achieve this goal, the presence of the majority of the nation at the ballot box and Dr. Pezeshkian’s focus on the demands of the people, especially the above three points, is essential. I am also with you from confinement, despite all the distance.
