The lawyer for Mehran Samak’s family stated that the former commander of Anzali police has once again been sentenced to death in a military court.

The lawyer for Mehran Samak’s family told Sharq network that a court in Qazvin has sentenced the former commander of Bandar Anzali’s law enforcement to death for intentional murder. Jafar Javanmardi was the main accused in this case.

27-year-old Mehran Samak, who was honking in his car during the celebrations after Iran’s national football team lost to the USA in the Qatar World Cup, died from a direct gunshot.

Now, Majid Ahmadi, the lawyer for Mehran Samak’s family, says this is the third time a military court, as a specialized court, has issued a verdict of intentional murder and the death penalty for the accused in the case.
