Member of Parliament: The approval of three-tiered gasoline prices at 1500, 3000, and 5000 tomans

Hossein Samsami, a member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, announced on Thursday, November 6th, on the social network X, that three-tiered gasoline prices of 1500, 3000, and 5000 tomans were approved in the meeting of the heads of the branches of government.

Samsami, who is an economics professor at Beheshti University in Tehran, emphasized that pricing of gasoline and currency is a multifaceted issue that should be viewed within a unified political package.

Addressing the government, Masoud Pezeshkian wrote that it would be good for the honorable government to explain why, if multiple pricing is a source of rent-seeking and corruption, they keep adding rates.
