A member of the Parliament’s Security Commission announced the gradual delivery of Russian fighter jets to Iran has begun.

Abolfazl Zohrehvand, a member of the National Security Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, announced that a number of Russian MiG-29 fighter jets have entered Iran and are stationed at the Shiraz airbase.

He added that the delivery of Sukhoi-35 fighter jets will also gradually begin and reported the extensive arrival of Chinese-made HQ-9 and Russian S-400 defense systems.

Zohrehvand emphasized that with the arrival of this military equipment, the Islamic Republic will have greater deterrence capability and enemies will understand the language of power.

He also regarded the recent agreement in Cairo, on the brink of activating the trigger mechanism, as a winning card for the Islamic Republic and said there should not be a negative view towards it.
