A member of the Mo’talefeh Party: Journalists should not ask the opinion of religious authorities about moharebeh (enmity against God).
Hamidreza Taraqi: We have 100 different jurisprudential views, and there are disagreements regarding doubts, so if we are to go and ask religious authorities and clerics about various controversial issues, we are making a mistake.
Are we supposed to implement disagreements in the law? I repeat, my objection is to those who approach figures to set religious authorities against the system.
Where in the law does it say to go ask the opinions of religious authorities and implement their views? Authority is either in the hands of the Imam or the leadership, and no ruling can invalidate the judgment and decision of the Supreme Leader.
I don’t mean that Mr. Makarem Shirazi shouldn’t have given his opinion, but the opinion that the judiciary is obliged to implement is the one stated in the law. I prefer not to continue the discussion.
