Payam Vali, a human rights activist, has announced that he will not be present at the court session scheduled for the 7th of Dey.

According to an informed source, Payam Vali, a Baha’i citizen who is in Ghezel Hesar prison, has refused the court-appointed lawyer due to what he considers a violation of Article 48 of the Criminal Procedure Code by Asif Al-Hosseini, the head of the Revolutionary Court of Karaj and the judge of the case. He has decided not to attend the court session due to being deprived of the right to have a lawyer of his choice.

Payam Vali was arrested at his workplace on the 24th of September 2022.
