Masih Alinejad was the first person to leave the coalition.

Masih Alinejad, a political activist and women’s rights activist, told a French magazine, Le Point, that Prince Reza Pahlavi was the first person to leave the Alliance for Freedom and Democracy.

Ms. Alinejad said Mr. Pahlavi had demanded the addition of three new members to this coalition, but while the other members were in talks to accept these individuals, she argued that her conditions were not met and therefore she left the coalition.

Earlier, Hamed Esmaeilion, another member of this coalition, had also spoken out about external pressures on the group’s members and publicly expressed his disagreements with Reza Pahlavi’s views in his interviews.
