Middle East Eye: The Ukraine war has become a testing ground for the Iranian drone industry
The British news agency MEE, following various reports from other agencies about the effective presence of Iranian drones in the Ukraine war, has discussed the advancement of Iran’s drone and missile industries to compensate for existing deficiencies in the equipment and aircraft of its air force.
The report states that despite multiple denials from Tehran and Moscow, reports indicate that Russia has purchased hundreds of Iranian drones and has ordered a thousand more.
Since their initial presence in mid-September, Iranian drones have had a significant impact in this conflict. The use of these drones provides Iran with an opportunity to test its equipment in a dynamic and changing battlefield and showcase their performance.
