The claim of the Minister of Communications: We didn’t cut off the internet in the 1401 incidents, we limited it.

Isa Zarepour, the Minister of Communications, referred to the issue of internet disconnection in the country and emphasized that the internet has never been completely cut off during the thirteenth government.

He said, if you remember, the internet was completely cut off in November 2019 during the previous government. In October 2022, considering the country’s conditions and the orders from security agencies instructing us to cut the internet, we did not completely cut it off. In fact, during the thirteenth government, we never completely cut the internet. Only mobile internet was disconnected for a few hours during the day. Even at the time of the international internet disconnection, domestic services never went down. This is our difference with the previous government regarding the order to cut the internet.
