The Minister of Communications reported that telecommunication links with some Iranian islands were disrupted several times during recent attacks.

Sattar Hashemi, the Minister of Communications, announced that during recent American attacks, telecommunication connections with some of Iran’s islands in the Persian Gulf were disrupted several times, and part of the fiber optic infrastructure was damaged.

In an interview with ILNA news agency, Hashemi stated that to maintain communication stability, radio and satellite platforms were used as alternatives to ensure that the islands remained connected to the mainland. He added that the reconstruction and repair of fiber optic lines are on the agenda.

The Minister of Communications also reported the death of one of the ministry’s employees in the recent attacks but did not provide details about the location of the incident.
