The Minister of Economy says the increase in currency prices is due to ill-wishers

Ehsan Khandozi, Iran’s Minister of Economy and Finance, says the ill-wishers of the Iranian people have caused the increase in currency prices through fearmongering and creating inflationary expectations.

He said in a press conference that Telegram channels and gambling channels fabricated numbers that did not align with the country’s reality and led to certain behaviors internally.

Yesterday, the dollar rate in Iran exceeded fifty thousand tomans, and the rates of other currencies and coins also reached unprecedented figures.

Today, the sale of currency with a national ID card was halted, and instead, a government center named the National Currency and Gold Exchange will start operating. The unveiling of this center took place today.
