Minister of Roads: The JCPOA was the work of the Yazid of our time

While all the negotiators of Raisi’s government want the return of the U.S. to the JCPOA, Rostam Ghasemi, the Minister of Roads in the government, considers the JCPOA to be the handiwork of the ‘Yazid of the time’.

Rostam Ghasemi, who was the Oil Minister in Ahmadinejad’s government and thought during his confirmation hearing that he would become the Oil Minister again, tweeted that Ashura taught us that although the truth is always alone, if you are with the guardianship, you will become eternal even if the number of the Yazids of the time is as large as the whole world.

He further expressed that the Islamic Revolution of Iran is derived from Ashura, and a follower of Hosseini Shi’ism neither takes comfort in the letters of protection from Yazid nor forgets their duty with the JCPOA of the Yazids of the time.

The JCPOA revival talks have resumed in Vienna, Austria, after a five-month hiatus, and Ali Bagheri Kani, the chief negotiator of the thirteenth government, is leading indirect negotiations with the U.S.
