The Ministry of Roads to Divar and Sheypoor: Either verify identities or we will block the real estate section.
The Director General of the Housing Economy Office announced that the real estate sections of the Divar and Sheypoor platforms will be blocked by next week if they do not provide owner identity verification and the property’s postal code.
Abolfazl Nowrouzi mentioned that real estate ads are published on the Divar and Sheypoor platforms, stating that sometimes brokers and speculators use this platform to advertise properties that do not exist at all.
He stated that this practice is carried out extensively and in coordination with brokers to manipulate prices, and added that according to the Supreme Housing Council’s resolution, owner identity verification and postal code must be conducted for publishing ads on online platforms.
He emphasized that properties intended to be advertised must be registered in the Real Estate and Housing System, and stressed that if these platforms do not implement this web service by next week, their real estate sections will be blocked with the authorization of the Security Council and security agencies.
