The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' reaction to the Truth-Finding Committee's report on the suppression of popular protests is fundamentally rejected

Naser Kanani, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, strongly condemned the report in his first official response to the International Fact-Finding Committee’s report, calling it a repetition of baseless claims based on inaccurate and legally baseless information.

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson on Saturday, February 19, accused the committee of lying and taking money to write a report on the suppression of popular protests in Iran. He stated that the so-called fact-finding committee, created with a ridiculous display of human rights by some Western countries, especially Germany, with their financial support in Azar 1401, after the failure of the internal stabilization project in Iran, has not only failed to find the truth but has also distorted and manipulated facts in a targeted manner.

According to the report of the UN Fact-Finding Committee published on Friday, February 18, the Islamic Republic has committed new human rights violations and crimes against humanity during the suppression of protests in Iran last year.
