Missile attack on Thuraya Satellite Company in the UAE

Officials from the United Arab Emirates announced that the office building of the Thuraya Satellite Communications Company in Sharjah was targeted by a missile attack.

According to the Sharjah Government Media Office, this attack occurred in the Al Wusta region, and as a result, two Pakistani citizens with moderate injuries were transferred to the hospital.

The UAE Ministry of Defense also announced that on the same day, the country’s air defense intercepted a ballistic missile and 11 drones launched from Iran.

According to UAE media reports, the Thuraya building was previously targeted by a drone attack on March 30, but no reports of casualties were released in that incident.

Thuraya is one of the major satellite communication operators in the region, providing its services to more than 160 countries and playing a key role in areas such as military emergency communications and remote regions.
