Stagnation in the mobile market due to decreased purchasing power of the people

Fluctuations in the exchange rate in recent months and its ever-increasing price have significantly impacted the purchasing power of the people.

These fluctuations have also affected the mobile market and decreased demand in the field of mobile phone sales, leading to stagnation in this market.

According to ILNA, Hossein Sadat Hosseini, head of the Mobile and Accessories Specialized Commission of the Iran Chamber of Guilds, noted that people lack purchasing power and reminded that usually, with the rise in the dollar price, the demand for buying mobile phones would also increase, but recently this behavioral pattern has changed.

Hosseini, pointing to the stagnation in mobile phone sales even in the final months of the year and the festive nights, mentioned an increase in demand for mobile phone repairs.

With the decrease in people’s purchasing power, their inclination to replace their phones and get a new one has diminished, and the demand for phone repairs has increased.
