Mohammad Sadegh Koushki: The account of children is separate from their parents

Mohammad Sadegh Koushki, a principlist political activist, in an interview with Rouydad 24, in response to the migration of Ansieh Khazali’s son, the Vice President for Family Affairs, said

Senior officials of the government should find a solution for this situation. Of course, this issue has existed in all administrations and is not exclusive to Mr. Raisi’s government.

Officials say that our children are independent and make decisions for their own lives, and ultimately, our account with them is separate. This response from officials is legally correct and acceptable, but in any case, the presence of officials’ children in enemy countries like the United States and England can become a leverage against the Islamic Republic.

The defense of officials in these cases is also acceptable because their children are adults, and the account of children is separate from their parents.

If officials and their children have used their personal funds for these trips, there is no problem, and it is not legally prosecutable, and no objection is valid. We hope that officials have not sent their children abroad with public funds.
