Mohsen Hajimirzaei: Mosque-Centered Schools are Dangerous Ideas

Mohsen Hajimirzai considers mosque-centered schools to be dangerous ideas.

Mohsen Hajimirzai, the Minister of Education in Rouhani’s government, considers the establishment of mosque-centered schools in Iran to be dangerous ideas.

In an interview with the newspaper Hamshahri, he described the purpose of these schools as rebellion against the official education system and added that it aims to delegitimize the formal education system.

Mr. Hajimirzai has expressed concerns about the expansion of this phenomenon and added that anyone who acts in this way puts one of the fundamental rights of the people at risk.

He has claimed that even liberal and Western countries do not auction off public and elementary education in this way, but instead, they work systematically and precisely in order to prepare people for living and flourishing their talents.
