Mohsen Hashemi’s criticism of the Reformist Front should not create grounds for defeat.
Mohsen Hashemi Rafsanjani, the head of the central council of the Iran Builders’ Party, wrote in the Sazandegi newspaper that it seems the Reformist Front has not been successful in the initial organization during the registration of candidates. According to reports, they have not been able to even implement their internal decisions, including the strategy of conditional participation before registration, which has now turned into participation after registration and before approval. It seems that ultimately, it will move towards conditional participation after approval of qualifications.
The Reformist Front should pay attention that to fulfill its duty and show a positive sign to the government, it should not enter the electoral competition for governance. Instead, it should enter the competition for political victory and executive power. Therefore, to win the elections, it must use all tools at every stage and not create false specific constraints, as we have witnessed in these past two weeks, to avoid creating grounds for defeat. Winning is not always about achieving the goal one hundred percent; rather, reaching the minimum achievable is also considered a victory. What matters is solving the problems of the people and the country with an efficient and caring government in the fourteenth term.
