Mojgan Rahmani: I personally picked up the Iranian flag from the airport.

Mojgan Rahmani, the gold medalist of the World Darts Championship, said in an interview with the online program ‘Labkhat’ that the team officials did not take the Iranian flag to the competition because they believed she could not win a medal.

Rahmani explained that to have the Iranian flag, she had to personally take action at Imam Khomeini Airport.

She is the only Iranian who qualified for the PDC, the most prestigious global darts competition, and the only representative of Iran in the PDC Asia rankings.

In 2017, just one year after starting in this field, Rahmani achieved the 28th position in the World Darts Federation competitions, a rank that is considered the best performance by an Iranian athlete in the history of this sport.

In 2022, before a severe injury to her right hand in Germany, this athlete reached the top sixteen in the World Professional Darts Organization competitions, a success that no other Iranian athlete has achieved so far.
