Mawlavi Abdul Hamid: The outlook for solving people’s economic problems is discouraging
Mawlavi Abdul Hamid Ismaeelzehi, the Sunni Friday prayer leader of Zahedan, once again called on the government to show humility towards the people and listen to them.
In today’s Friday prayer sermon, Mawlavi Abdul Hamid referred to the people’s economic problems and described the outlook for resolving these issues as discouraging, calling for the resignation and stepping down of officials.
Criticizing the attribution of inefficiencies to enemies, he said that economic problems have destroyed everything and continue to do so, with no solution in sight, and under such circumstances, the government should not be hard on the people.
Mr. Abdul Hamid, referring to the role of men and women in the eight-year war and their support for the regime in various periods, including elections, said that whatever the ruler and the government have comes from the people, and it is the people’s right to be heard.
He further stated that no government, whether Muslim or non-Muslim, should kill people to maintain its survival.
The Sunni Friday prayer leader of Zahedan has been more outspoken in his criticism of the Islamic Republic since the bloody Friday in Zahedan last October.
