Members of the National Security Commission are only given identification to foreign nationals whose father or mother is Iranian.

A member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament spoke about the latest situation of Iran-Pakistan borders, stating that we have reached an agreement with Pakistan to replace fences with walls in some parts of the borders, and good studies and actions have been taken in this regard.

Fadahesin Maleki mentioned in relation to organizing Iran’s borders that despite our country being a host to immigrants, in recent years we have had uncontrolled entry of migrants into the country, causing concern among the people. Some security and political incidents in neighboring countries have intensified this concern among the people and the government.

Mr. Maleki stated regarding the formation of a National Migrants Organization that the structure of the General Directorate of Foreign Nationals and Migrants was not proportionate to this large volume, which was upgraded by the approval of the Parliament. He talked about the establishment of a National Migrants Organization that may be able to centralize all relevant agencies’ perspectives in one place, and this should be done as quickly as possible to reduce concerns.

He concluded by mentioning the issuance of identification to foreign nationals, emphasizing that identification is only given to those individuals whose father or mother is Iranian according to legal provisions.
