The player of the Iranian women’s national basketball team doesn’t think our athletic lifespan matters to anyone.
Kimiya Yazdian Tehrani, a player of the Iranian women’s national basketball team, talks about the lack of a plan for the team, saying it’s our athletic lifespan that is running out, and I don’t think it matters to anyone. Here, a player only faces hardships and their lifespan is wasted.
This 27-year-old basketball player, along with the Iranian national team, participated in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, which was the first experience for Iranian women since the 1974 Asian Games in Tehran. Kimiya Yazdian Tehrani has also participated in various international tournaments such as the 3×3 Basketball World Cup and the Asia Cup.
In a video interview with a sports news outlet, she said that when we didn’t have the opportunity to participate in international fields, we had more camps, but now it’s the opposite. It seems like we just want to say we also have a national basketball team. How the organization, planning, and management will be structured is not clear right now.
