Ned Price, the spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State, said that the courage of the Iranian people, especially women, girls, and young Iranians, is an inspiration to people around the world.

Ned Price, the spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State, has responded to reports of security forces attacking protesting students at the University of Tehran following Ebrahim Raisi’s visit.

On Wednesday, during the daily press briefing at the U.S. Department of State, Mr. Price described the courage of the Iranian people, particularly women, girls, and young Iranians, as an inspiration to people around the world.

Mr. Price said that the students and the youth of Iran are the future builders of their country, yet the Iranian government officials attack them and have arrested thousands of them.

He continued by saying that the people of Iran continue their peaceful gatherings while facing violent and ongoing repression.

According to Mr. Price, the United States stands with the people of Iran and will continue to shed light on human rights violations in this country.
