Netanyahu’s retreat did not satisfy the protesters
Last night, in a televised speech, Netanyahu announced the suspension of the vote on the judicial reform bill in the Knesset, the parliament of the occupying regime, in order to reach a broad agreement.
Despite this, thousands of people took to the streets of Tel Aviv and other cities, insisting on canceling all the bills and laws encompassed by this controversial plan and not settling for its temporary suspension.
Meanwhile, last night, a severe clash occurred between protesters and police forces in Tel Aviv. Protesters tried to reach and block the Ayalon Highway. The police used mounted units, water cannons, and stun grenades to disperse the demonstrators and prevent them from reaching the main street.
In these clashes, two police officers were injured by the demonstrators.
The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper also reported that the police arrested 33 participants in the protest demonstrations in Tel Aviv last night.
