New European Union sanctions against the Islamic Republic
The European Union is imposing new sanctions against the Islamic Republic for sending suicide drones to Russia to target non-military facilities and residential areas in Ukraine.
According to the new package of sanctions published on Thursday, February 26th on the European Council’s website, 7 entities affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) will be added to the list of sanctioned entities for dual-use goods.
As a result, the purchase and sale of goods that have both civilian and military applications with these entities will be prohibited.
