The New York Times: Iran will employ new tactics if the war resumes

The New York Times reported that regional officials and analysts believe Iran is preparing for the possibility of renewed conflicts and may use more aggressive tactics in the next round of war.

According to the report, Tehran has sent a message to regional countries and the U.S. that it is ready to impose heavy costs on American interests and the global economy if attacked again.

The report states that Iran might conduct more extensive missile attacks in the new round of conflicts and target the energy infrastructure of Gulf countries, including oil fields, refineries, and ports.

The New York Times also wrote that one of the options proposed by Iran and its allies is to increase pressure on strategic maritime routes, including Bab el-Mandeb, a passageway through which a significant portion of global trade passes.
