North Korea is sending over 10,000 troops to assist the Russian army.
South Korean intelligence and espionage services have claimed that Pyongyang is planning to deploy military forces on a large scale to aid the Russian army in the war against Ukraine.
The South Korean intelligence agency has announced that currently, 1,500 special forces from North Korea are being trained in the far eastern region of Russia to participate in the Ukraine war.
The South Korean National Intelligence Service, referring to Pyongyang’s decision to send thousands of soldiers to Russia to assist its army in the Ukraine war, has released satellite images of what is described as the first deployment of forces in this context.
The South Korean presidential office also reported the formation of an emergency security meeting chaired by President Yoon Suk Yeol on Friday, stating that this move by Pyongyang is seen by Seoul as a significant threat not only to South Korea but also to the international community.
