An Open Letter from a Group of Former Iranian Diplomats

In the letter, the diplomats have warned that the global media coverage of the protests in Iran and reports of drone sales to Russia, while abandoning nuclear negotiations, have created a dangerous situation for Iran.

In this letter, which bears the names of several former employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, it is stated that at this current juncture, where global orientation, especially from the United States and Europe, is moving against the Islamic Republic of Iran and in support of the protesters, and foreign media continuously cover the internal developments with the exaggeration they desire, which itself has severe consequences against Iran’s national interests, the simultaneous stance of the official political figures of those countries increases the concern over the foreign policy approach.
