Order from the Chief Justice of Tehran Province to investigate the hacking of Fars News Agency

Following the cyber attack on Fars News Agency and the release of a significant amount of personal information of journalists and staff, the Chief Justice of Tehran Province issued an order to the Tehran Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office to follow up on the matter.

According to Tasnim News Agency, Ali Alghasi Mehr assigned the Tehran Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office to form a specialized task force composed of technical experts and relevant officers to investigate the dimensions of this issue.

The Chief Justice of Tehran Province also emphasized that if any negligence or fault is proven on the part of individuals, necessary legal actions should be taken.
