Order to Censor News on Mahsa Amini and Public Protests to the Media

According to a confidential document received by Iran Gate, the General Directorate of Domestic Press of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance issued an instruction aiming to present a fabricated image of public protests against the killing of Mahsa Amini. This is done by linking the public protests to foreign influences and highlighting the support for religion and religious rituals among the protesters to create a polarized society.

Another section of this document emphasizes portraying government-organized gatherings as spontaneous and popular, urging media managers to depict these movements as grassroots.

It seems that despite all warnings from sociologists and political analysts about the serious threat of societal polarization accelerating social collapse, some parts of the government still consider it a tool for managing protests.
